Do I need to boil or sterilize baby bottles?
No, in the Netherlands, the protocol changed a few years ago. Baby bottles and teats no longer need to be sterilized but must be properly cleaned. It's sufficient to clean them in the dishwasher. First, brush the threads to remove any leftover proteins, as they can coagulate at 40 degrees and potentially damage the bottle.
You can also clean the bottles by hand. Rinse with cold water first, then wash with dish soap, hot water, and a brush. Dry the parts thoroughly. If you choose to sterilize, follow the instructions in the product manual.
